WW Vocabulary
So you just joined WW (Formerly Weight Watchers). There is so much to learn. You hear terms being thrown around and you have no idea what they mean or where to begin. Today I will be going over terms used in your meetings or on WW Connect that you might not be familiarly with.

Smart points- this is commonly abbreviated as SP. Smart points are you daily budget of points you can eat. Each food is given a certain amount of points based on calories, fats, sugars and proteins. The healthier the less points.

Budget-the amount of points you given per day.

Weeklies-these are the extra points you are given to use during the week. You can use them or you can not use them, but it is there so if you want a piece of cake or burger you can splurge.

Blue dot-a blue dot is given when you have eaten your healthy range of points. This is achieved between 10 smart points left or if you go up to 5 smart points over your daily budget.

Tracking-tracking is the act of logging food either in the app or on paper.

WellnessWins-these are points you are given for tracking meals, attending workshops or tracking activities.

Fit Points-these are the points you get based on activities. Everyone will get fit points differently based on age, gender and weight.

Connect-the WW social media platform you access through the app.

Lifetime member-this is what everyone is working for. This is where you hit your goal weight and maintain it for 6 weeks. This also means you get to stop paying for WW!!!!!

Goal weight(GW)-this is determined based on your healthy BMI range or a doctor can give you a note that clears you for a different goal weight.

Start weight(SW)- this is the weight you started at.

Current weight(CW)-the weight at your last weigh in.

Workshops-the weekly meetings you attend to weigh in and share your journey with others. This is my favorite part.

I hope that defining these terms helps you get more accustomed to the WW program and helps you on your journey. Let me know in the comments if you have any other words commonly used you would like me to define.

Love always,
Mikala
