Good morning Friends,

I’m not sure about you but I am ready for the holiday season to be over. I am stressed out and tired but one thing that I will always be thankful for is my dogs. If you can tell from the title I am that dog mom that includes her dogs in celebrations. They are my world. I call them my kids so it make sense that they would be included.

This year was our first Christmas with Ivy, my newest dog. I was hoping to take her and Axel to get photos with Santa but she isn’t ready to be held by a random person yet. I did fill their stocking with some fun goodies!

This Christmas I traveled home to see my family. Traveling is stressful on the dogs and since it was such a quick trip I left them with my boyfriends parents. On Christmas Eve before I dropped them off I treated them to pupaccinos from Starbucks. I felt horrible for having to leave them behind so a treat was well deserved.

But back to their stocking. I filled their stocking with a toy for Ivy (Axel doesn’t play with toys) and treats from PetSmart and a local vendor. Let me tell you, they loved these homemade treats! See photos below!

When I dropped them off, I left them with the homemade treats so they could have something special for Christmas morning. The best part was getting to come home to them once we made it back from Houston. I will also have them with me on New Year’s Eve when we are celebrating just to keep them calm. I love including them in as much as I can. They are such a huge part of my world!

Let me know in the comments how you celebrate with your animals!

Love always,
Mikala
